Set expectations with data, not slogans
Cold-climate heat pumps are designed to deliver useful heat at lower outdoor temperatures than older heat pump generations. Exact capacity at a given temperature depends on the model and design.
Ask for performance at a design temperature relevant to your area, and clarify backup heat strategy for extreme cold snaps.
Home readiness
Ducts, insulation, and distribution affect comfort as much as the outdoor unit. A great heat pump in a leaky home will still struggle.
